fort_collins_officiant_FAQ
If you're planning a wedding service that includes guests, a processional/recessional and music, and simply want the basics included in your wedding ceremony, then this might be the perfect solution for you.
This affordable, beautifully-worded, pre-written ceremony (in your choice of secular or nondenominational religious wording) lasts approximately 12-15 minutes (exclusive of your processional time) and includes the following:

Processional
Opening words (also known as the greeting)
Statement of Intention to Wed (the "I do's")
Repeated vows
Exchange of rings
Signing of the marriage license
Final blessing
Pronouncement of the couple as husband and wife (followed by a kiss!)
Recessional.

You will consult briefly with your officiant beforehand via phone and email and he or she will help you put together your processional order. Prior to the wedding day, your officiant will email you a copy of your ceremony script with the names of your wedding party members and their order of entrance included. Your officiant will also be available via telephone and email to answer any ceremony-related questions you may have.

Your officiant will arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony, line up your wedding party and ensure that they get down the aisle in fine style. We'll also use that time to coordinate with your musicians and photographer to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Basic Ceremony Includes:
Your choice of pre-written secular or nondenominational religious ceremony in the setting of your choice
Pre-wedding phone and email consultation to establish your processional and recessional order as well as to answer your ceremony-related questions
Written script of your ceremony, with bridal party members included
Unlimited number of guests
Performing of ceremony by one of Lyssabeth's Colorado wedding officiants
Arrival of officiant 20 minutes prior to start of ceremony
Filing of license
Type of Ceremony
Date & Time of Ceremony
What's not included
The Basic Ceremony is a pre-written ceremony that does not include additions such as readings, Unity Candle, Bowls of Blessing, etc. The Basic Ceremony provides for telephone and email consultations only. An in-person meeting is not necessary for this level of service. If you desire a fully customized ceremony, or wish to develop a personal relationship with your officiant prior to your wedding, then we suggest our Classic Custom Ceremony.

The Basic Ceremony does not include a rehearsal. Most couples who choose this option feel that a rehearsal is not necessary. If however, you would like to add a rehearsal to this ceremony level, then you may do so. See below for pricing.

Price

The Basic Ceremony starts at $259. This assumes a location of no more than 50 round-trip miles from the closest available officiant, the performing of the ceremony as written, and email and telephone communication only. If you want to add a rehearsal, the fee is an additional $100. If you want to save money by running your own wedding rehearsal, click here for a how-to.

If the above stipulations do not fit your situation, we will quote you a price that is slightly higher to accommodate your preferences.
Basic Ceremony......a short and sweet, budget-priced, beautiful ceremony for you and your guests

A Word About Pricing

We are truly committed to serving couples of ALL budget levels. Subsequently, our prices range from under $20 (for our Do-It-Yourself Wedding Ceremony E-Kit) to over $600 (for our pull-out-all-the-stops Premium Custom Ceremony)

Yes, that's quite a large range! It's difficult to quote a price without knowing the full scope of your circumstances: your officiant preferences, amount of customizing you want in the ceremony, if you want us to facilitate your rehearsal, the simplicity/complexity of your service, whether you want to meet with your officiant in person (or if telephone consults will suffice), your ceremony location etc. We've found the best way to give couples an accurate and firm quote is to chat briefly about these variables.

We encourage couples to establish a realistic budget for all of their wedding vendors. We also acknowledge and respect that each couple will want to prioritize their spending differently for various parts of their wedding day. To that end, we offer a variety of officiating services and products so that every couple may have the ceremony they seek at a price that is both affordable for them and compensates our wedding officiants fairly for their expertise, experience, time, energy, creativity and professionalism.

Expect to pay in the high $100s to low $200s for a small alternative-to-the-courthouse elopement ceremony, the mid-$200s for a traditional pre-written ceremony (for any number of guests) with minimal edits (such as our Basic), high $300s for a customized wedding ceremony (such as our Classic Custom) with in-person meetings with your officiant. Rehearsals are an additional $100 to $125. If you want to save money by running your own wedding rehearsal, click here for a how-to.

And if your wishes fall in between the above levels, then we'll quote you a price that is in between the aforementioned pricing. Our goal is to give you everything you want without having you pay for things you don't!

Please give us a call at 970-372-4568. In less than five minutes, we can ask the right questions to help you determine the best ceremony level for you and quote you a firm price.
